David is a Royal College Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist, Associate Professor at the School of Biomedical Engineering at the University of British Columbia and a Volunteer Professor at the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami. He has published work in several areas relating to venous health including: non-invasive imaging, inferior vena cava filter management, and the advanced management of blood clots. He is internationally recognized and published in the fields of Interventional Oncology, Interventional Radiology, and complex Venous Disease. His most recent award includes the Young Investigator Award from the Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR), The Canadian Association of Interventional Radiology (CAIR) for extraordinary contributions in the area of Interventional Radiology, and most recently was extended membership into the World Health Organization International Agency for Research in Cancer.
