Ernesto Santos, MD
Dr. Ernesto Santos was born in Spain and he obtained his medical degree at Alcala De Henares University (Madrid, Spain). His residency was at Hospital Clinico Universitario San Carlos and he completed his IR fellowship at Hospital Puerta de Hierro. He moved to the US in 2010 and jointed the IR division at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center as Associate Professor of Radiology. Since 2016, he is member of the IR Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Santos has more than 20 year experience in Interventional Radiology, with special interest in Interventional Oncology, particularly in the last 10 years. Dr. Santos’ interest are supportive care and pain management, MSK and lymphatic interventions. Dr. Santos’ passion is driven by the bonds that he builds with his patients and the multidisciplinary environment.
In his spare time, Dr. Santos enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, reading and wine tasting
